I went to Western Washington University to earn my bachelor's degree in math. My math tutoring experience includes two years as a high school student helping students learn math topics from calculus and algebra. I tutored for two years as an undergraduate as well in math, statistics, and physics. I've had the opportunity to work with many different students, each with their own unique learning style. When I was in Western Washington University, I was certified as a level one tutor by the CRLA. My favorite tutoring subjects are physics, pre-calculus, and trigonometry, as these provide many opportunities to relate topics to real world applications. In addition, these real world applications help students better understand and retain information, and engage in learning. I also prioritize leading the student down the path to find their own answers as opposed to giving the answers away, which helps students develop problem-solving skills that they can use throughout their career academically and professionally. When I have free time, I like to read, play video games, and cheer for the Seattle Seahawks.
